Try IM, Try Meebo

Hello All,

I tried some of the IM clients listed in Stephen Abram's article.

FYI. Meebo is the one that does NOT require any downloading, and most importantly, we can use it on our staff computers.

Meebo allows me to use my MSN messenger. Add me to your buddy list. :D
My "name" is wendytmpl
Tell me yours too!

Look at these links too if you are interested in IM Reference.
Who knows... maybe we can offer this service at MPL in the near future.

Do you think we can tie this into the concept of "floating librarians"??
It's one of my Library "passions". Anyone wants to join me?
I sometimes feel reluntant because I am not a member of the E-services group.

Anyways, let's have some fun.

Wendy

Wendy,

I am very interested in IM reference, book chat groups, etc.

Basically, I am interested in IM, in whatever way our customers way to use CHAT. I talked to Nelson, today and he says at the moment, it is not possible, not even on staff computers. First stumbling block.

I know a couple of people on ESGroup. Maybe we could get them to bring the idea forward, for us?
